Abolitionist in the Round

A friend of mine put together a concert in San Francisco with a number of other musicians and they called it "Abolitionist in the Round". The concert helped raise money to donate to the organization Not For Sale, an organization dedicated to put an end to modern slavery (human sex trafficking). I would encourage you to visit the Not For Sale website to learn more about what is happening in our world right now.

The Fray - Concert at Shoreline

What can I say, I simply love the guys from the Fray. I remember the first concert they were kind enough to let me photograph. They were playing a show at Slims in San Francisco with Mat Kearney and Carey Brothers. Within a year of touring and making appearances at San Francisco's Fillmore and Warfield theatres they landed on the stage of the Shoreline amphitheatre. Who does that? Who plays at Slims at the beginning of the year and a year later headlines at Shoreline?

Well, I wasn't able to photograph that first Shoreline concert as I was waterskiing at a friends bachelor party, but I had my chance back in August, and it was worth the wait. They played a great show. Thank you Isaac, Joe, Dave, and especially Ben for the freedom to move around without being harrassed by security.

Enjoy the photos!

Little Fox Theatre

I have been looking back through images I photographed last year and never posted. I came across a concert I photographed at the Little Fox Theatre featuring Valeri Lopez, Dan Miles and Jerome Madigan.

Her are the links to these talented artists:
Jerome Madigan: http://jeromemadigan.com/ and http://new.music.yahoo.com/jerome-madigan/
Dan Miles: http://danmiles.bandcamp.com/
Valeri Lopez: http://valerilopez.com/ and http://www.reverbnation.com/valerilopez and http://new.music.yahoo.com/valeri-lopez/ and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Syemmmxq0Q

Valeri is a folk, acoustic, singer/songwriter backed by a band playing keyboards, an upright bass, a banjo, a flute and other instruments.

Here are some of the images from the show.
